Description
First of all, a very merry Christmas to all of youI hope you're fine and get lots of presents
Kaenosaine is a character of mine that I simply LOVE.
I invented him oh.. way too many years ago and finally I had the time, the passion and the skill to paint him.
I haven't wrote his story yet but I know exactly how I want it.
He is neither happy nor sad, neither dead nor alive but his heart is full of hate and he simply doesn't know why he can't love the people he loves.
As for the painting itself, it was partly done in Photoshop and partly done in Painter. I will give a huge print as a present to my parents today and I hope they'll like it
The orginal size is quite big (6000x12000px) but the details are not as crazy as they may seem

I must admit, I wouldn't have believed this was painted from scratch, if I didn't see your steps. Really nice! I wish you could make me a tutorial on how to colorize b&w paintings!
The light here is really excellent. The colors too. The textures you applied makes it look almost like if it was painted with traditional oils. The mood and impression it gives is fabulous.
If I was to give you any advices, it would have been to work more and study how the folds on the cloth would act. You did a great job here, but it can be even better.
The anatomy of the legs looks akward: His left leg looks a bit too bended in the area where the hands folds. It's just a matter of details though.
Really fantastic job!!

Well, colorizing a b&w painting can be really really hard. I would just suggest you to play around with layer modes. For example tiny hits of red at the knuckles, feet and knees set to soft light
Well I painted the folds without any real reference so they turned out a bit random but I focused on artictiv beauty. IMO It's better to sacrifice physical correctness than artistic beauty.
The leg is indeed rather messy XD

awesome colors and and details(especially on the cloths)
just some things with anatomy
the legs seem too long and the eyes are slightly to big(or on the other side the head could be too small^^)

Really like the clothes, its pattern and the impression of gold in it.
Kind of wondering myself about the elephant.

Some anatomical problems with the foot etc but well the rest is very realistic ^_^
